Exactly how does the BSV™ Basketball Shooting Visor™ help to produce higher arc when shooting a basketball?
The BSV™ Basketball Shooting Visor™ is a blinder that technically blinds the user of vision above the forehead which is where the shooter’s hands and the basketball are usually seen during normal shooting motion. Because the vision of the shooter is blocked above the forehead, the shooter is forced to "compensate" in his mind just as a blind person does when they first learn to feel their way around. Uniquely the shooter doesn’t know “how high is high” and therefore when the user is instructed to shoot the basketball above the forehead and whipping their wrist at the basket target the user will normally shoot with higher arc almost immediately due to “over-compensation”. Once the shooter gets familiar with having to compensate, the shooter can then start to gauge the shot by watching when the shot is made and how much force and arc will be needed to achieve this. Once the BSV™ Basketball Shooting Visor™ is removed, the shooter’s muscle memory or “shooting memory” should sustain improved arc on the shot of the basketball.
